Indian Post Instant Money Order
The Indian Postal Service has launched a new service. Same Instant Money Order (IMO). India Post offers these people the opportunity to send money from Rs.1000 to Rs.50,000. It charges a fixed cost.
- Services in 11 cities
- Money can be transferred from the post office using IMO. These services are available in 11 cities across the country. There are currently 24 IMO post offices available. It is a web based instant money transfer service. Here the receiver gets the money instantly. It can be used in the easiest way
- 2 Rules for transferring money
- Customers have to deposit up to Rs 19,999 in cash. Or can be credited to the individual savings account at the same IMO post office. However, checks above Rs 20,000 are required.
- Digit IMO number
- For 16 digit IMO number the customer has to fill up the Remit Payment Form at the counter at the post office. That number is generated by the computer.
- Instant money transfer
- The person who wants to transfer money instantly must share the IMO number. That means sending a 16-digit IMO number using phone, SMS, email or other means. The recipient can receive the money by sharing the same 16-digit information at any IMO-based post office
- IMO needs these documents
- The receiver must fill out a form along with a photo identification card to successfully manage the transaction. Identity card means .. Voted ID card, PAN card, ration card along with receiver photo, driving license, etc. are sufficient.
