Petitions of Trade Unions to PRC Commission


Hyderabad, March 4 (Andhra Jyoti): The state government employees had to miss out on three PRCs due to non-filing of PRCs on time, the union leaders said.

Several trade unions have submitted petitions with their demands to the Second Pay Revision Commission (PRC) of Telangana State on Monday. Under the leadership of Telangana Gazetted Officers Association (TGO) President Eluri Srinivasa Rao, the petition containing the demands of the employers was handed over to the Commission Chairman P. Sivashankar at the PRC office in Burgula Ramakrishna Rao Bhavan. They asked that the minimum wage should be Rs.32 thousand, the maximum wage should be Rs.2,95,460 and the wage scale should be decided with 40 percent fitment. State President of Telangana CPS Employees Association Sthita Pragya and General Secretary Kalwal Srikanth handed over a petition to the PRC Commission to abolish CPS even in the second PRC and bring the old pension system into effect.


TSUTF President and General Secretaries K. Jangaiah and Chava Ravi asked PRC Commission Chairman Sivashankar that since the state's GSDP has achieved 60.3 percent growth over the national average in the last five years, there is a need to increase the salaries of the employees. The gap in house rent allowance between urban and rural areas should be reduced. PRTUTS has asked the PRC Commission to submit a report to the government to implement PRC from July 1, 2023 with a minimum wage of Rs.35 thousand and 50 percent fitment. Association president and secretaries Pingili Sripal Reddy, Birelli Kamalakar Rao and MLC Kura Raghottam Reddy met the chairman of the commission.


In a report given by Telangana Rashtriya Upadhyaya Pandita Parishad, the automatic advancement scheme has been revised for 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years as promotions are becoming difficult. State President C. Jagadish, General Secretary S. Narsimhulu along with PRC Commission Chairman handed over the petition. Central Forum of Telangana Panchayat Secretaries President Mahesh and Secretary Vijay Kumar asked Parivision Commission Chairman Sivashankar to stabilize the salaries of panchayat secretaries in the state.
