Non-Joining Gandham for the unemployed
Govt planning flaw in disclosure of job results
Some are qualified in more than one job
Increasing backlogs due to joining in one go
Intellectuals want to fill them with meritorious candidates
Hyderabad, March 3 (Namaste Telangana): With the final results of TSPSC, Gurukula and Police jobs being released in the state, some people have to choose one or two jobs. The other jobs are being left. The government has not yet decided what to do with such 'non-joining posts'. As a result, all of them remain as backlog posts. It is estimated that there will be at least 10 percent 'non-joining posts' in each notification.
Defect in planning in revealing the results..
Generally a candidate will apply for the eligible notifications and write the exam. If he gets results for two or three posts at a time, he will choose a job with good salary and status. So experts suggest to release the results in descending order according to the level of jobs. But the government is acting without proper planning in the rush to advertise that it has given jobs to a large number of unemployed
For example, the previous BRS government conducted examinations for the posts of Degree Lecturers (DL), Junior Lecturers (JL), PGT and TGT. After the formation of the Congress government, the results are revealed. First the certificate verification is conducted in the ratio of 1:2 and the final results are released in the ratio of 1:1. First, if the certificate verification and final results for DL posts are announced and then the appointments for JL, PGT, TGT are completed with at least a week's time, the candidates would be inclined towards bigger jobs.
There was no problem of 'non-joining' in the next level jobs. But government called for certificate verification with 1:2 ratio for DL and JL after giving PGT final results first. TGT conducts certification before release of final results. After that, DL and JL declared the final results. With this, tens of candidates who came for TGT certificate verification got an opportunity in DL and JL. Due to this, their names are not included in the final results of TGT. Apart from that, if the government had announced the final results of DL and JL earlier, they would not have come for the certificate verification and other candidates would have got jobs.
Another merit candidate should be given..
Intellectuals express concern that injustice will be done to the unemployed if the non-joining posts fall into the backlog. It is said that the unemployed will have to wait until the notification for filling up the jobs in that department. They are asking the government to replace the candidates with merit after the cutoff. BSP leader and former IAS officer RS Praveen Kumar has already brought this issue to the notice of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. However, no official decision has been taken. It is suggested that if the government responds, the certificate verification will be completed and justice will be done to the unknown talents in the final results.
