Today, Hyderabad: The State Education Department has ordered Amma Adarsh School Committees formed for the supervision of government schools in the state to periodically monitor and review the attendance and availability of teachers and other staff in the schools under their jurisdiction. Social audits should be conducted to ensure proper utilization of funds. In addition to this, on Thursday, the Chief Secretary of the Department, Burra Venkatesham, issued orders on the duties and responsibilities of the Amma Adarsh Schools Committee. It is suggested to increase the attendance rate of students in school and work hard to bring back those who have dropped out of school. It has been directed that a resolution should be made mandatory for every financial transaction


It has been suggested that the funds provided by other government organizations along with employment guarantee, special development funds and other government agencies should be spent on these. District Collectors will pay 3 percent of the value of the works to the service charge formation committees for the management and supervision of the works.


  Urgent works are suggested to be completed by June 10 during the summer holidays

District Collectors, DEOs, Headmasters and technical institutes officers monitor the work of Amma Adarsh Schools through MOMB software online.

The President of the Mahila Samakhya near the school is appointed as the President of Amma Adarsh School Committee


The mothers of three students studying from one to ten are appointed by the committee chairperson and principal (member convener) on a rotation basis. One of them should be SC or ST. They must be members of self help societies. The tenure is two years


Amma opens a special account for ideal school committees. It has a joint check power of president and headmaster.

Attendance and availability of teachers and other staff should be reviewed. Mid-day meal scheme should be monitored*


Before the beginning of every academic year, proposals should be sent to the District Education Officers and District Collectors to enable them to sew uniform clothes for the students with women's associations.


The District Collectors should sanction the necessary works for the school. Technical agencies should be appointed at mandal level to supervise the works at field level. These committees should visit the field and report to the district federations and district collectors to advance the funds. Committees should take up work only later


No tender required for works costing up to Rs.25 thousand for tubelights, bulbs, fans, blacks and other accessories


If it is above that, the school committees should report to the collectors through the district federations. AE or Deputy EE should enter a record of these works in MBook. District Collector will pay if the works exceed Rs. Payments should be made only after the Headmaster confirms that the work has been completed.


DEEs sanction works up to Rs.30 lakh. The Social Inspection Agency is selected by the Commissioner of School Education. Three percent of the program monitoring amount can be spent on software, training and other expenses
