Affidavit of SBI Chairman in Supreme Court

(Special Task Bureau) Hyderabad, March 13 (Namaste Telangana): State Bank of India (SBI) on Wednesday told the Supreme Court the details of election bonds meant to fund political parties.

On this occasion, it was revealed that this data has been handed over to the Central Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday as per the orders given by the Supreme Court. To this extent, SBI Chairman Dinesh Kumar Khara has filed an affidavit in the court.

Donors bought 22,217 bonds between April 1, 2019 and February 15.

 

In this, 22,030 bonds were encashed by various political parties and funds were taken.

 

No party has encashed the remaining 187 bonds within 15 days of purchase. As per the provisions of Gazette Notification-20 (dated January 2, 2018), we have redeemed them and deposited the money received in the PM National Relief Fund.

 

How many bonds were issued in five years? who How many did you buy? When did you buy it? Which political parties accepted these bonds? When received? When did you encash? We submitted all the other details to the EC on March 12 within the stipulated time.

 

Only then will it be clear how many have come to which party..

 

Although SBI has submitted an affidavit to the Supreme Court on Wednesday that it has given the details of election bonds to the EC, it has not clarified how much funds have been received by any party. However, the court was told that those details were included in the data given to the EC. According to the orders of the Supreme Court, the complete information related to the EC election bonds has to be made public on the official website by 5 pm on 15th of this month. That is, how many funds did the party get by Friday evening? It is going to be known who gave the things. SBI has sold election bonds worth Rs.16,518 crore in 30 issues since March 2018. Central Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajeev Kumar said on Wednesday that the SBI has provided the details regarding the election bonds as per the orders of the Supreme Court. All the details related to the bonds will be disclosed within the deadline given by the court, he said. SBI gave the bond data to the EC at the appointed time (March 12). After looking at the due date given by the court, we will disclose the details of the bonds. It was revealed on this occasion that the EC is ready to conduct the upcoming Lok Sabha elections
