2. From the Commissioner, School Education & Ex-Officio State Project Director, Comprehensive Punishment, Telangana, Hyderabad Lr.No.2751/SS/T4/2024, Dated: 11.03.2024.

 

The Government of Telangana gives high priority to the education sector with a special focus on providing quality education as well as good infrastructure. schools. Self Help Groups (SHGs) comprising Village Organizations (VOs) in rural areas at village/ward level and Area Level Federations (ALFs) in urban areas are a powerful force for women at the grassroots level. Their participation and ownership in village level development. Especially in education and school management, quality results can be achieved.

 

2. The Government has decided to utilize the capacity of women SHGs to implement, monitor, strengthen and maintain basic infrastructure works in all government schools, providing student benefits like school uniforms and mid-day meals as well as undertaking sanitation works. In all government schools under the School Education Department.

 

3. After careful consideration by the Government, Village Organizations (VOS)/ Area Level Federations (ALFS) shall formulate the following works as part of emergency and maintenance works in all Government Schools run by the School Education Department.

 

Strengthening of basic infrastructure:

 

Construction of 10 giris toilets.

 

iii) Provision of drinking water facilities.

 

Undertaking minor & major repair works.

 

Renovation and Maintenance of Existing & Dysfunctional

 

Toilets.

 

vi) Electrification of classrooms.

 

vii) Sanitation & Maintenance of school premises.

 

viii) Installation of solar panels to reduce electricity bills.

 

(x) Overall management of the school.

 

x) Sewing of uniforms.

 

For this purpose, "Amma Adarsha School Committees will be formed from the SHG members at school level and the President of the Village Organization/Area Level Federation will chair the Amma Adarsha Patashala Committees. All the tasks described above will be implemented by the Amma Adarsha School Committees. School Principals will act as member conveners and undertake All programs are coordinated.
