Let's change the face of government schools: CM Revanth Reddy


Disha, Telangana Bureau: An action plan has been prepared to change the face of government schools and provide additional facilities. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made it clear that authorities should take steps to provide infrastructure in all government schools


He said that the responsibility of monitoring will be handed over to self-help women's groups. A preliminary decision was taken to sanction and release the funds required for the construction of these facilities through the green channel. Besides setting up digital classrooms in every school, the government has also introduced a new mechanism of teaching lessons with experts through T-SAT. An action plan has been drawn up to ensure that all these facilities are available to the schools before the end of the summer vacations


The CM ordered that free electricity supply to all government schools and colleges will be started immediately, and in addition to this, the work of fixing solar panels on the roof tops of all school buildings and bringing them into use should also be completed. During a review with officials at the Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resources Development Center on Sunday night, the CM gave clear instructions on the changes to be made in the outline of government educational institutions and the facilities to be provided. He suggested that a clear change should be seen in government schools. Actions should be taken to make people believe in government schools. The officials were directed to ensure that free electricity is provided to government schools and colleges immediately


The CM suggested to look into the matter of handing over the provision of uniforms to the students as well as the provision and supervision of infrastructure in schools to Self Help Women's Associations. He said that with this, there will be continuous monitoring of schools and financial support will be provided to women. It is suggested to examine the infrastructure in government schools of other states and implement it in the state. He clarified that the government should grant the necessary funds through the green channel. It has been directed to set up digital classrooms in government schools and provide lessons with experienced teachers through T-SAT. They want to focus on setting up solar panels in government schools. Efforts should be made for CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) funds for government schools and NRIs should be helped if necessary.


The CM suggested that the status of all government schools in the state should be made available on the website. They want to complete the work in the schools before the end of the summer holidays. It is suggested to conduct a comprehensive study on the National Education Policy brought by the Central Government and discuss it with academics and intellectuals. They want to set up a governing body on the lines of ISB (Indian School of Business) for Skill University. They want to focus fully on NAC. The plan to bring facial recognition attendance system from the secretariat to the lower level was also discussed in the meeting. Minister Sridhar Babu, Advisor to the Chief Minister Vem Narender Reddy, Chief Secretary to the Government Shanti Kumari and officials of the concerned departments participated in this review meeting.
