As if there is no special TET for Government teachers
No government approval is required for the application
Applications shuru.. Problems with website
Hyderabad, March 27 (Andhra Jyoti): It has become clear that there is no possibility of conducting TET specifically for teachers working in government schools. The government did not pay much attention to the demand from the teachers in this regard. Due to this, the teachers who want to be promoted have to take TET now. Applications are being accepted for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) from Wednesday. A notification was issued on March 14 for conducting Tet in the state. Applications are being accepted from 27th of this month to 10th of April. Candidates said that some technical problems arose on Wednesday, the first day. Especially the details of Tet held in 2016 are not visible on the website. Also Tet held on July 23, 2017. It appears on the website that it was held in December 2017. Candidates who have qualified in these two TETs are currently facing some difficulty in applying. Usually if you have qualified in TET earlier.. you write TET again for better marks. Such candidates should mention the previous TET details in the application. Candidates are worried due to lack of proper options in this background. Meanwhile, TET will be conducted from May 20 to June 3 this year through a computer-based test. The Education Commissioner clarified on Wednesday that there is no need for government teachers to get prior permission to write TET.
Tet is mandatory for promotions.
It is known that the requirement to qualify in TET has been made mandatory for teachers to be promoted. So, to get promoted from Secondary Grade Teacher (SGT) to School Assistant and from School Assistant to HM, it has become mandatory to qualify in TET. In this background, candidates competing for teacher posts as well as government teachers also needed to write TET. However, teachers have been demanding the government for some time to conduct a separate TET for them as it is difficult to qualify in the TET conducted for candidates. But the government ignored the request.
